Makayla L. Starbird

Makayla is a 2025 graduate of the University Maine School of Law. She received her B.A. from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Political Science & History, where she graduated summa cum laude and received the Dr. Stephen Aylward Memorial Political Science Award. Makayla spent her last year of undergrad interning at Dow’s Law Office in Norway, Maine, where she found a passion for the law. After starting law school in 2022, Makayla began working at Epstein & O’Donovan as a legal assistant, where her interest for Trust and Estate Law grew. Having graduated from law school and passed the Bar Exam in 2025, Makayla is now an Associate Attorney at the firm. Makayla looks forward to getting involved with local bar associations and building her trust and estate skills.

Makayla is a Maine native. She grew up in the Oxford Hills region, where she continues to live with her fiancé and two cats. Outside of her legal practice, Makayla enjoys gardening, playing slow-pitch softball, and spending time with friends and family.
