Dennis J. O’Donovan
Dennis J. O’Donovan joined the firm in 1994 after working in the trusts and estate department of a large Portland law firm. Dennis received his B.S. in finance from the University of Maine at Orono in 1985 with honors and high distinction. He received his J.D. with honors from the University of Maine School of Law in 1991. He is a past chairperson of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Maine State Bar Association and a former President and director of the Maine Estate Planning Council. He also is a former director of Piper Shores Retirement Community and the University of Maine Foundation. He lectures widely on estate planning, estate administration, retirement plans and charitable giving. Dennis was named to the 2023 list of the The Best Lawyers in America for the practice areas of Trusts and Estates and Trust and Estate Litigation. He has achieved an AV Preeminent Peer Review rating with an endorsement for the highest ethical standards by Martindale-Hubbell. Dennis, his wife, Anne, and their two daughters live in Windham.
