Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreement Planning

We counsel clients who are planning to marry about the financial and legal consequences of marriage, as well as the potential impact of a divorce or the death of a spouse.  For clients who are already married, we help to prepare postnuptial agreements that can set certain boundaries and expectations with respect to the ownership and disposition of property.  We guide clients through the process of preparing these marital rights agreements by assisting them with the full disclosure of their assets and the drafting of an agreement (or the review of an agreement prepared by another attorney) that sets forth the “rules of the game.”
